2 Mile Run
Ok, so I successfully ran 2 miles on the treadmill at the gym. Not a long distance by any means, but I am more than happy because the broken foot still feels ok. Sore, but ok. The goal for the rest of this year is to drop 10 lbs (to 185lbs), lose the fat and reach the 4 mile run mark. This is just over 5k. I ran the 2 mile distance in 17 minutes 15 seconds which isn't too bad, but that was my limit.
I need to cut out coffee w/ half & half which I drink 4 times a day, all alcohol (which there isn't much of these days anyway!).
My dream is be ready for the 2007 NY marathon. We will see. If I can hit the 4-5 mile mark by Christmas then I will be eligible to run with the New York Road Runners Association next year. 9 races with those guys and I will be eligible for the 2007 marathon.
I'm a lazy bastard though so I need to get my arse in to gear!

Kissiffer, I know you can do it. When you run in the 2007 Marathon I will make a really cool banner and I will yell until I have no voice. Maybe Raine will help me hold the banner. I have heard you talk about this for so long, so I know you are serious about it. With Raine in your corner, well, it will happen.

You can do it! With those long legs and the cheerleading squad (Raine, Nette and I am sure many others)you will finish the marathon in 2007. Just keep working at Kissiffer, I have faith!
